Carndonagh Boxing Club are hosting a major boxing tournament on Friday night in the club gym.
Head coach John Mulhern has put together 14 star studded contests down for decision. Former Derry boxer Connor Macleod will make his debut in the Raphoe Boxing Club colours. He will feature in the headline fight of the night when he goes toe to toe with local favourite James Devlin.
Rathfriland ABC from Down under the guidance of Bobby Laverty will travel to Inishowen with eight boxers among them four Ulster and two national champions.
At 66ks Dean Doherty will face Eoin Cooney from Down and Carndonagh’s evergreen Andrew Cunningham squares up to Ruairi McDonald.
Keelan Hegarty, Carndonagh is paired with Adam McKibbin and Jessica Clarke, Carndonagh will face National Elite champion Emma Feeney, from Cavan. The first bell is timed for 8 pm.
Dunfanaghy tournament on Sunday evening
Dunfanaghy Boxing Club will host their annual tournament in the Ozanam House, Dunfanaghy, on Sunday night.
Again 14 quality bouts are down for decision and the boxing is due to get underway at 6 pm.
In what promises to be an explosive middleweight contest Dunfanaghy’s Anthony Brady faces Paul Darby from Raphoe.
Dunfanaghy’s evergreen Sean Kelly is paired with Adam McDaid, St Bridgets, Clonmany, while Oisin Wallace, Dunfanaghy will go to toe with Stephen Campbell, St Bridgets.
Oisin Devlin has been paired with Tyrone hot shot Barney Corcoran, Carrickmore BC at middleweight.

Raphoe’s stylish 44 kg puncher Aaron McDaid is paired with Bernie McDonagh, junior.
