A young dance teacher from Donegal and her friend are setting the internet alight with a video of them jive dancing.
Megan Ruddy (Megan Ó Rodaigh) is a 16 year old dance teacher from Falcarragh. She and 14 year old pal Claire Campbell, who both attend PCC Falcarragh, were featured by the Democrat in August when a video of them jiving was seen by more than 200,000 people in less than a week.
Megan had sent the video to Niall Doorhy who posted it on his Facebook page. As a result of the video's popularity, he invited Megan and Claire to meet him at Moynalty Steam Threshing Festival.
Now, their flying footwork is in the spotlight again.
Megan and Claire were invited to dance live on TG4 last night (Wednesday). You can see them in action here.
Shortly after they left the studio, Megan met up with another friend and fellow jiver, Ruairi McSorley. He recorded them dancing and uploaded it to his Facebook page. As of lunchtime today (Thursday), it's been viewed a whopping 136,000 times.
Well done, again, to Megan and Claire for doing Donegal proud! We'll be watching your progress with great interest.
