A Mexican street-style food restaurant and takeaway in Letterkenny opted to close today in solidarity with the fuel protests.

Burrito Loco, located on the Port Road, has assured its customers that they will reopen tomorrow, but felt the need to support those who are protesting against the government’s handling of the current fuel crisis.

“As a small family business in Letterkenny, we feel this crisis every single day, in every delivery, every supplier invoice, every time we fill up the van,” Burrito Loco posted.

“Rising fuel costs don't just hurt at the pump. They ripple through everything. We stand with the families struggling to heat their homes, the hauliers keeping Ireland moving, and the farmers feeding this nation. These are our people. This is our community. We'll be back open tomorrow. Today we stand together.”
