The following deaths have taken place:

Nancy Brennan, Letterkenny

The death has occurred of Nancy Brennan nee Gormley, Greenhill, Letterkenny.

Predeceased by her brothers Aidan and Leo and her sister Fidelma.

Sadly missed by her husband Danny and children Ailbhe, Aideen, Conor and Clodagh; extended family Niall, Hollie and Jamie, darling grandchildren Lucy, Maisie and Rory, sisters Frances and Mary (Enniskillen), relatives, friends and neighbours, both in Ireland and in Italy.

Reposing at the Eternal Light Chapel of Rest, Mountain Top, Letterkenny (F92 XE35) on Saturday, October 14 from 2pm concluding with Prayers of Commendation at 4.30pm, where you are invited and most welcome to a celebration of Nancy’s life.

Private Cremation on Sunday, October 15 in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan.

No flowers please, donations if wished to Donegal Hospice, c/o Paschal Blake Funeral Director, Stoney Arch, New Line Road, Letterkenny. House strictly private please.


Robert Armstrong, Buncrana

The death has occurred of Armstrong, 11 Ard Na Dun Close, Slavery, Buncrana, and formerly of Dromiskin and Blackrock, Co. Louth.
Bobby is predeceased by his wife Kathleen, his parents Teresa and Harry and brother Joey.
Robert will be reposing at his late residence from 2pm on Friday until 11pm. Robert will be reposing at Shevlins Funeral Home, Barracks Street, Dundalk Co. Louth A91H6H2. On Saturday from 3pm to 7pm . Funeral will leave the funeral home at 1.30pm for Requiem Mass in St Fursey's Church Haggartstown, Co Louth at 2pm on Sunday, October 15. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
Bobby will be sadly missed by his loving family Mary,Robert, Henry and Patricia, daughter-in-law Annette, son-in-law Michael, brother Tommy, sister Mary Mc Williams Blackrock, and sister-in-law Pauline nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, neighbours and friends. Bryan McWilliams, Stranorlar

The death has occurred peacefully at Galway University Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, of Bryan McWilliams, Drumboe Lower, Stranorlar.

Pre-deceased by his loving wife Catherine, much loved father of Craig (Lynn) and Shanne (Rudy), cherished brother to Michael (Anne), Sister Gina (George) and loving Grandfather to Brian (Carole) and Great Grand Father to Odin. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his son, daughter, grandson, great-grandson, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brothers, sisters, neighbours, extended family and friends.

His remains are reposing at McGowan’s Funeral Home, Drumboe Avenue, Stranorlar, Eircode F93 A461 on Friday from 6pm to 9pm.

A civil ceremony to celebrate Bryan’s life will be held at McGowan’s Funeral Home on Saturday at 12 noon, followed by a private cremation. 

Marie Chambers, Glasgow and Dungloe

The death has occurred of Marie Chambers (née Gallagher), Glasgow, formerly of Dooey, Dungloe. She passed away peacefully at home with her beloved husband Vincent, son Joe and daughter Martina by her side.

Daughter to the late Josie and Mary Kate Gallagher, sister to Francis, Pat and Jim, Nana to Cliodhna, Aaron, Eva, Nathan, Ethan and Mya, mother-in-law to Amanda and Stephen and friend to many.

Viewing will take place on Saturday at Anderson Maguire, 15 - 17 Hamilton Street, Glasgow, G42 0PL between 2pm and 4pm.

The funeral will take place at 9.30am on Monday at Holycross RC Chapel, 113 Dixon Ave, G42 8ER thereafter to the Linn Crematorium, 413 Lainshaw Drive, G45 9SP. Family flowers only, please.

Liam Doogan, Letterkenny

The sudden death has taken place of Liam Doogan in hospital in England formerly of Ard Colmcille, Letterkenny.

Predeceased by his parents Colm and Susan (née McTeague), he is deeply regretted by his loving wife Eleanor, daughter Rhiannon, son-in-law Edward, sister Sandra, brother Colm and his two nieces Niamh and Eimear.
