Mary McGovern, Donegal Town

The peaceful death of Mary McGovern (nee Boyle) of O’Maolchonaire Avenue formerly of Meenadreen Glencolmcille. under the care of the oncology ward at Letterkenny University Hospital and Donegal Hospice

Predeceased by her father John Boyle, sadly missed by her husband John, mother Mairead. Her children Nicole (Kevin), Amy(Cormac) Eilish and Terence, her sister Noreen (Pauric) and brother Johnny (Nora) deeply regretted by uncles (Oliver and Padraig) and aunt (Noreen) nieces, nephews and extended family.

Mary’s remains will repose in Tír Conaíll Funeral Home, Drumrooske, Donegal Town, F94FX3A from 3pm until 9pm on Monday, December 2.

Ane Marie Eichel, Ardara

The death has occurred of Ane Marie Eichel St.Shanaghan House Ardara. Sadly missed by her loving family, friends and neighbours.

Remains reposing at McCabes Funeral Home Common, Ardara on Tuesday, December 3 from 6pm to 8pm followed by private cremation on Wednesday, December 4 in the Lakelands crematorium, Co Cavan.

Charles Fox, Letterkenny

The death has occurred of Charles (Charlie) FOX, Riverside London and formerly Beechwood Road, Letterkenny, Co. Donegal. He passed away suddenly following a long illness in the care of the NHS, Homerton Hospital on Monday, November 18.

Predeceased by his parents Jim and Bridie and his sister Síobhan. He will be greatly missed by his sister Rosemary, his brother Seamus, niece Aisling and her husband Simon, nephew Ronan and his wife Ellen, grandnieces Órlaith and Amandine, grandnephew Fiachra, his extended family and friends.

Reposing in Letterkenny Funeral Home, Port Road, F92 E6PA on Tuesday, December 3 from 7pm to 9pm. Arriving to St Eunan’s Cathedral for Requiem Mass at 11am on Wednesday, December 4. Burial afterwards in the family plot, Conwal Cemetery.

Joseph Gallagher, Laghey

The death has occurred of Thomas Joseph (Joey) Gallagher, Greaghs, Laghey, F94 RW71> He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family.

Beloved husband of the late Brigid, and father of Deirdre, Clodagh (Kevin), Fionnuala (Danijel), Ronan (Mary), Nigel (Noelia), Damian (Pauline), Jarlath (Eileen).

Joey will repose at home. Visitors welcome on Monday, December 2 from 3pm to 9pm. Please note those attending the wake there will be a one-way system enter via Pettigo road exit via Copany Road. Funeral Mass will be held at St Brigid’s Ballintra on Tuesday, December 3 at 11am with burial after in adjoining cemetery.

Joey will be sadly missed by his sons and daughters, grandchildren, son-in-law, daughters-in-law and extended family members.

Garry McGrath, Dunfanaghy and Belfast

The death has taken place of Garry McGrath, Anseo, Kill, Dunfanaghy, F92N566, formerly of Belfast. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family.

Dearly beloved husband of Lisa, much loved father to John, Claire, Riona and Charlie. Brother to Jimmy, Paddy, Brian and Mary. Father in-law to Ciara, Michael and Niamh. Cherished grandfather to Cara.

Garry’s remains are reposing at his home. Visitors welcome on Monday, December 2 from 1pm to 8pm.

Requiem Mass will be held at Holy Cross Church, Dunfanaghy on Tuesday, December 3 at 12noon with burial after in adjoining cemetery.

Rosie Duffy, Clonmany

The peaceful death has occurred at Carndonagh Community Hospital of Rosie Duffy, Leenan, Urris, Clonmany F93W9X0 surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her loving husband James and children Mary, Martina, John and Seamus.

Much-loved mother of Ann, Carmel, Daniel, Rosemaire, Josephine, Oliva and Trish. Deeply regretted by her son in law’s, daughter in law’s, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sisters, nieces, nephews and the wider family circle.

Reposing at her home. Funeral from there on Monday morning at 10.20am going to St Michael’s Church Urris for requiem Mass at 11am with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Billy Moran, Greencastle, Derry and Manchester

The death has taken place of Billy Moran, Glenagiveny, Greencastle, and also of Derry City and Manchester.

Beloved husband of Sarah, cherished father of Robert, Joseph and Grace, dearest son of Marie and the late Johnny, (both of Derry), treasured brother of John, Neal and Michaela, dearly missed son-in-law, brother-in-law, nephew, cousin, uncle, friend and colleague.

Wake to be held from his family home in Manchester on Tuesday from 2pm to 10pm, all welcome.

Funeral service at 12 noon on Wednesday at Altrincham Crematorium, Whitehouse Lane, Dunham Massey, Altrincham, Cheshire WA14 5RH, and afterwards, all welcome.

Ryan Doherty, Derry and Lifford

The death has taken place of Ryan Doherty, Beraghvale Close, Derry.

Beloved son of Brian Doherty and Geraldine O’Neill, née McKeever and stepson of the late John O’Neill. Much loved brother of Raymond (Laura) and Lynsey (Ryan). Darling daddy of Ryan and Rebecka, adored grandson of Molly McKeever and much loved uncle of Rachael. Ryan will be sadly missed by all his aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family and friends.

Ryan's remains will be reposing at his mother’s Geraldine's residence Boyagh, Porthall, Lifford, Donegal, F93 KPK2 from 12pm to 9pm on Sunday, and on Monday from 12pm to 9pm. Morning of the funeral private please to family.

Hugh Eugene Crawford, Lifford

The death has occurred in his home of Hugh (Hughie) Crawford, Coolatee (Smokey), Lifford, F93 HN5F

Lovingly missed by his wife Rose, daughters and son Tanya (Daniel), Katriona, Camilla (Joe), Stacey (PJ), Kim (Shane), David (Charlotte) and Alisha (Eoghan), his 13 grandchildren, his brothers and sisters Betty, Eddie, Myra, Deirdre and Aiden, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews and all his extended family and friends. Hugh was predeceased by his parents Hughie and Myra and sister Helena. 

Hugh's remains will be reposing at his late residence from 2pm to 9pm on Saturday and from 11am to 11pm on Sunday. Family time please on the morning of the Funeral.

Chrissie Kearney, Redcastle

The peaceful death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of Chrissie (Christina) Kearney, Carrickmaquigley, Redcastle F93 PPK5.

Beloved mother of Sharon (Adrian), Catriona (Ciaran) and Fergal (Carol-Anne), devoted nanny of Aston, Logan, Jayden, Olivia and Darragh.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her partner John, her sisters Maria and Peggie, Nieces and Nephews, wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

Chrissie's remains are reposing at the home of her son Fergal, Carrickmaquigley, Redcastle D93 PPK5 where you are all welcome to pay your respects. Family time from 10pm to 11am.

Freddie Sweeney, Milford

The death has taken place peacefully in Letterkenny University Hospital, of Freddie Sweeney, 237 Lower Mount Marian, Milford, Donegal, F92 N5D2.

Deeply regretted by his loving family, Martina (Paul), Peter (Margaret), Fergus (Roseleen), John (Helen) and Charles, grandchildren Lorcan, Sarah Louise, Nadine, Ryan, Ariana, Amber, Shaun, Declan and Kim, great-grandson Brodie, brother Colm, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by his wife Sally, brothers Charlie and John, sisters Mary, Sophie and Brid.

His remains are reposing at his home. Family time from 10pm until 10am and on the morning of the funeral.

Karl Bonner, Ballintra and Clare

The death has taken place suddenly at his residence, of Karl Bonner, Main Street, Ballintra, Donegal and formerly of Barefield and Tulla, County Clare.

Predeceased by his parents Willie and Winifred, he is sadly missed by his extended family, neighbours and friends.

Karl's remains will arrive at St Bridget's Church, Ballintra at 4.30pm on Sunday, to repose overnight.

Funeral Mass on Monday at 9am followed by removal to Drumcliffe, Cemetery, Ennis, County Clare for burial at approximately 1.30pm. Funeral Mass may be viewed online at www.churchservices.tv/ballintra

Joseph Carlin, Castlefin

The death has taken place peacefully at Letterkenny University Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, of Joseph (Shosie) Carline, Belalt, Castlefin, Donegal, F93 FW02.

Beloved husband of Peggy, much loved father of Mary, Joseph (Roisin) Anne (Mark), Maggie (Shane), Nuala, (Andy), and Conor (Orla), cherished brother of Brigid Garvey, and the late Willie, John, Michael, Mary and Annie.Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, daughters, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

His remains are reposing at his late residence on Sunday from 11am to 10pm. Family time from 10pm to 11am and on the morning of the funeral.

Jimmy Ruddy Jr, Muff

The death has occurred at Letterkenny University Hospital of Jimmy Ruddy (Jr), Mitchelstown, Ture, Muff.

Deeply regretted and will be sadly missed by his loving brother Barney (Leeds), sister Sadie (Portnoo), extended family, friends and neighbours.

His remains are reposing at the residence of Stephen and Majella McConnellogue, Mitchelstown, Ture, Muff where you are welcome to pay your respects. Family time please 10pm to 11am.

Removal from there on Monday morning at 10.15am to Sacred Heart Church, Muff for Requiem Mass at 11.00am followed by interment in St Patrick's Graveyard, Iskaheen.

Dolores Devenney, Letterkenny and Laghey

The unexpected death has occurred of former Letterkenny University Hospital nurse Dolores Devenney, 28 Fernhill, Letterkenny and formerly of Laghey. 

Predeceased by her mother, Evelyn, and father, Bernard. Sadly missed by her sisters, Margaret (Bullen), Nuala (Lowther), Edel (McNeely), and her brothers Brian and Thomas, brothers-in-law John (Bullen)and Bernard (McNeely), her cousin Maura (Tunney), nieces Samantha (Lowther and family) and Rhiannon (McNeely).

Her remains will repose at Tir Connell funeral home, Drumrooske, Donegal Town, F94FX3A on Sunday afternoon from 1pm to 4.15pm, followed by removal to St Brigid's Church, Ballintra for 5pm to repose overnight.

Requiem Mass on Monday at 11am followed by private cremation.
