Death notices for Donegal on Tuesday evening

The following deaths have taken place:

- David Samuel Patterson, Raphoe

- Seamus Byrne, Glencolmcille

- Denis Maloney, Teelin

- David Burke, Dunkineely

David Samuel Patterson, Raphoe

The sudden death has taken place in Letterkenny University Hospital of David Samuel Patterson, Cooladerry, Raphoe.

Beloved son of Ernie and Gloria Patterson; cherished brother of Will (Marie), Bobby (Lynda) and sister Aileen. He will be sadly missed by his nephew and nieces – Harry, Lily, Megan, Georgia and the wider family circle. He is predeceased by his brother-in-law Paddy, who held a special place in his heart.

Funeral arrangements to be confirmed later.

Seamus Byrne, Glencolmcille

The peaceful death has occurred at Letterkenny University Hospital of Seamus Byrne, Cashel Glencolmcille, Co Donegal surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents Leonard and Mary, brother Stephen and sister-in-law Bríd, he is very sadly missed by his loving family, brothers Michael and Adrian and sister Catherine (Seamus), nephews Olan and Connor. Nieces Chantelle, Athena and Alannah and extended family, neighbours and friends.

His remains are reposing at Shovlin’s Funeral Home, Sandfield, Ardara, F94 A250 on Wednesday from 4 to 6pm, and reposing at his late residence from 7pm to 10pm and on Thursday from 12 noon to 10pm.

Funeral Mass at 11am on Friday in St Columba’s Church, Cashel, Glencolmcille with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Mass will be streamed on the parish webcam.

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to the Oncology Unit, Letterkenny University Hospital and Donegal Hospice c/o any family member.

Denis Maloney, Teelin

The death has taken place peacefully, at home surrounded by his loving family, of Denis Maloney, Cappagh, Teelin.

Predeceased by his parents Francis and Margaret, his brother Patrick Joseph and his nephew Patrick, Denis will be sadly missed by his son Michael, his daughter-in-law Anna, his grandchildren Karina and Adrianna, his brother Francis, sisters Mary Elizabeth, Bernadette, Máiread, Siubhán, and Rosaleen, by Margaret, his brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, aunts, uncles and a wide circle of relatives and friends.

His remains are reposing at his late residence in Cappagh, Teelin from 5pm to 9pm on Tuesday evening and again from 11am to 9pm on Wednesday. House private to family at all other times and on the morning of the funeral.

Funeral Mass on Thursday at 12 noon in St Columba’s Church, Carrick followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.

David Burke, Dunkineely

The death has taken place of David Burke, 214 Castleview, Dunkineely. He passed away peacefully at Letterkenny University Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his father Con, he is sadly missed by his mother Bridget, brother Paul (Teresa) ,sister Sarah (Diarmaid), his niece Lily and large circle of family and friends.

Reposing of his remains continues at Gallagher's Funeral Home, Station Road, Mountcharles, F94 X02N on Tuesday from 5pm until 9pm.

Removal from there on Wednesday going to the Church of St Joseph and St Conal, Bruckless for 11am funeral Mass, with burial afterwards in the adjoining churchyard.
