Letterkenny Gaels continued their unbeaten league campaign with an eight-point victory over Pettigo on Sunday.
The wind played a big factor in the game with the Cathedral Town men scoring 3 goals in the opening quarter from Brian Diver (2) and Diarmuid O’Cathal (1). Both Callum McGilloway and Shay Doherty scored a two-pointer each.

Additional points from Cathal Doherty, Liam McAlary, McGilloway (‘45) and two more from Shay Doherty confirmed a fourteen-point deficit for Pettigo at half-time. Oliver McCaughey scored 3 frees while Jack Britton completed the first half scoring for the home side.
Half-time score: Pettigo 0-04, Letterkenny Gaels 3-09.
The Billary men had the wind advantage in the second half and scored four two-pointers coming from Sean Robinson (3) and John Carrigan (1).
Robinson also scored a free to close the gap but scores from Callum McGilloway(0-2), Brian Diver and Shay Doherty (1 each) ensured that the Gaels held on for the win.
