Repairs works will be carried out over three days

Emergency works will lead to closure of Lennox's Bridge on Donegal-Leitrim border

Details of an “emergency road closure” at Lennox’s Bridge on the Donegal/Leitrim border have been issued by Donegal County Council and Leitrim County Council.

The busy  R280 will be closed at Lennox’s Bridge to all users from 7:30am – 5:30pm on Wednesday, March 9, Thursday March 10, and Friday, March 11, to facilitate immediate bridge repairs.

Motorists are being advised of alternative routes. For those travelling from Kinlough to Sligo/Donegal, a diversion will be in place via L2063 and the L2076.

For those travelling from Donegal/Sligo to Kinlough, a diversion will involve going on the N15/L2063 via Tullaghan.

All HGV traffic shall be diverted via N15 Tullaghan/L2063. 

Diversions will be sign posted.
