The first of the Donegal Schoolboy Champions League finals takes place tonight (Bank Holiday Monday 2nd May) at the lovely surroundings of An Screaban, home of Gweedore Celtic.

The finalists this season at U16 age group are the Eloka Asokuh Bonagee United and Pat Ward's Keadue Rovers.

These clubs have already met twice in the league with Keadue Rovers coming out on top on both games. Ward's team also defeated the Dry Arch outfit in the group stage of the Champions League and also knocked out Bonagee United in the semi-final of the Tadgh Culbert Memorial Cup which was played on Saturday last.

Keadue Rovers are the reigning League Champions going through the season unbeaten. Keadue defeated Swilly Rovers 7-2 on agg in the Semi Final and Bonagee got the better og neighbours Letterkenny Rovers 4-3 on aggregate

Keadue have been strengthen this season by the merging of Dungloe Town and Keadue Rovers. With Daniel Ward pulling the strings in midfield and super athlete Aaron McGlynn up front, they will take some beating but the Cathedral town side will be no pushovers with players of the caliber of Conor O'Reilly, Daragh Ellison and the strong running of Jack O'Donnell.

Liam McLaughlin will be the man in the middle with assistants Con McLaughlin and Marty Quinn.
